Through Lead Talks, Kheira’s goal is to show youth that they can manifest whatever they want, despite their barriers, by the power of their voice and self-confidence.

After her challenging yet transformative transition from private to public school during her sophomore year, as a covered Muslim Algerian female, Kheira greatly understands the meaning of being different and unique. Being the exotic person in a new environment, Kheira values community building and creating safe spaces where everyone can feel welcomed while being unapologetically their wholehearted selves.

Her experiences piqued her passion for raising awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness. Kheira’s journey has led her to share her story at Harvard University’s National Muslim Women’s Summit 2020 and The Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, Kheira has had the opportunity to work and advocate for mental health with VOICE-IAF, Our Minds Matter, This is My Brave, and Promote Care Prevent Harm. Kheira strongly believes that through storytelling and listening, effective change can be achieved. Her biggest hope is for everyone to NORMALIZE talking about mental health and not having everything together; NO one is perfect.

When Kheira isn’t working, you can find her eating, running, binging Turkish dramas, or laughing endlessly with loved ones.
