Mariam is passionate about dismantling systems of oppression that cause things such as racism, classism, misogyny, and other forms of exploitation and bigotry.

Mariam is a junior in highschool and a member of LeadPeace’s content team. She enjoys reading, writing, and film, and joined LeadPeace’s content team to use as a creative and journalistic outlet. LeadPeace has also been a way for her to develop networking and leadership skills, and she appreciates the open discussions that LeadPeace encourages. Joining has also helped give Mariam a platform to advocate for current issues the world, specifically the younger generation, is facing, which is something she is very passionate about and spends much of her time on her personal social media doing. Mariam is passionate about dismantling systems of oppression that cause things such as racism, classism, misogyny, and other forms of exploitation and bigotry. She hopes to advocate for these issues through LeadPeace by having open discussions about them, and specifically working to deconstruct the internal biases that can influence these forms of bigotry on a personal level.
