Deema is passionate about helping out in her community and using her voice as a means of change to give a voice to the voiceless.

She enjoys dedicating her time to serving those in her community through volunteer efforts with Islamic Relief USA and Project Humanity at school.  Deema is also interested in the field of Public Health, especially health equity. She worked with the David J. Sencer CDC Museum to gain more knowledge on the field and to help others learn more about it, using the leadership skills she has gained from LeadPeace. In her spare time, Deema enjoys going for runs and reading a good book; one of her top recommendations is Ace of Spades. Deema joined LeadPeace to encourage high school students to use both peacebuilding and leadership to make a change. She also hopes to achieve her ultimate goal of becoming a mentor for the younger generation through LeadPeace.
